I never realized that my 6-year old foster daughter had been really keeping tabs on me. We went out for Sunday dinner and she told me, "GiGi, I don't see diet stuff in the book (menu). How are you going to eat?” I asked her what was diet stuff. She said, all I see is chicken with crunchy stuff and fish with crunchy stuff on it, meaning fried. I asked her what kind of fish and chicken I eat she said "naked". Then she proceeded to tell the waitress to bring my "GiGi" another book (menu) so she can eat. My kids have been my biggest supporters and my biggest fans. I was the subject of last week’s show and tell at my 6-year old foster daughter’s school. She took "her" April issue of MetroFamily Magazine to school and showed everyone, beginning with the cafeteria manager and ending with her principal.
