Have you caught your child or student in the ACT? An act of compassion, determination, initiative, tolerance, or other trait of good character?

As part of MetroFamily's emphasis on helping parents teach character traits, we sponsor a monthly Spotlight on Character Award for students in grades K-12. Winners in the two grade categories of K-5 and 6-12 are recognized with a story and photograph in MetroFamily and receive a $50 savings bond and a special prize from the award's community sponsor, Oklahoma Energy Resources Board. How does it work?

Just fill out the registration linked here highlighting your nominee's character in action. Be specific with what your nominee has done to demonstrate good character (like everyone, we love a good story!). We take the nominations that we have by the first of the month, select the two winners, and make arrangements for photos and have our writer contact the winners to complete the story.
