Celebrate America Program
Fifty-seven fourth graders at Casady School dressed up on March 12th to represent famous Americans of the past and present, from Pocahontas to Hillary Clinton. The students each gave a brief speech about their chosen leader’s life, including little-known facts about them. Students also prepared and presented displays giving more information about their American’s life and accomplishments.
The leaders represented included presidents, entertainers, athletes and explorers.

Students also sang folk songs and danced a Virginia Reel for the audience. After the program, parents and visitors were invited to get a better look at the display presentations and talk with the students about the famous Americans they represented.
