Hello Everyone,
I am very pleased to be working with MetroFamily Magazine. On my blog you will able to read up on money saving tips and ideas that I use in my own household as well as stories on some of the struggles my family faces having a husband with a disease that leaves mom playing the role of both parents.
This year has been extremely difficult for me as I went from being a stay at home mom being able to shop and and run my errands in my own time and still participate in all my kids school activities, to a full time working mom, 8 to 5, and still trying to squeeze everything above in and taking care of my husband through hip surgery. The one thing I miss is being able to go to my website, see a great deal posted and run out the door, coupons in tow. Now I have to wait until I get home or even find myself waiting until the weekend to do my coupon shopping, only to find that the deals are already gone.
But....I now work for a wonderful manufacturer and I am able to work with them to help pass more savings on to the consumer. I have also changed my whole outlook on shopping. I used to get so stressed out when someone would call and tell me about this wonderful deal and I am sitting at my desk at work thinking it will be gone by the time I get off. I now tell myself what a great deal that is and I hope someone in need will get in on it and that there will be more deals to come.
Since I have changed my thought process, I am finding that God has helped me find more time to spend with my children and I am still finding the deals at my own pace. It seems the ones that I am able to partake in are bigger and better than before.
This week has been especially great. I was able to get in on some great deals. At
CVS this week they have the
Listerine Smart rinse on sale and you get the total price back in Extra Care bucks plus you can send in for a TMF rebate form! I had a $1 coupon to use so I actually made money on this deal. While in the store they were doing markdown for 75% and 90% off. I was able to get
Aussie and
Christophe hair care products for free by using my $1.00 coupons and some great finds to put in my kids’ Easter baskets as well. The Listerine deal is going on till Saturday, March 22nd.
Wednesday was awesome. Work was great and I left early do a story on Channel 9 news. When I got home I had two boxes on my porch. I quickly grabbed them and ran inside searching for the scissors. WOO HOO! I got my Ipod that I won! Yep you heard right—I WON it. One of my website visitors gave the link to this site called IpodSweepstakes. I thought it might be a scam at first but decided what the heck. Boy did it pay off!! This is the 2nd Ipod win for me this year so im not sure what I am going to do with this one.
You can win your own Ipod by going to this link :
http://friends.ipodsweepstakes.com/r/9da919ae2b31102b8555. I will get an extra entry into the sweepstakes again for each person that enters through my link. Once you sign up, check out the tips from other moms who are participating in this sweepstakes on my website:

The second box I opened was from
BuzzAgent.com. It was my free Oust Kit. I got two full size cans of Oust and 5 or 6 free coupons for free bottles. I love BuzzAgent. I have gotten free burgers at Chili's, free Pledge Dusters, free Betty Crocker Warm Delights, Free Sonicare Toothbrush (valued at almost $100), and more. You can go to
BuzzAgent.com and sign up for their current campaign which is for the new Glade Wisp Candle.
Ok that’s all for today folks. Stay tuned next week for some great money saving offers!
