Oklahoma City offers plenty of opportunities to celebrate love this February. All month long, the metro area comes alive with daddy-daughter dances and fun love-filled parties just for kids. Feb. 1

Be Mine Arrow Paint Away Class at the MAC at Mitch Park (2733 Marilyn Williams Dr, Edmond) features a basic social painting class for kids ages 2 & up. 6 - 12. $12. 10 - 11 a.m.

Feb. 2

Valentine Cupcake Paint Away Class at The MAC at Mitch Park (2733 Marilyn Williams Dr, Edmond) features a basic social painting class for kids ages 6 - 12. $12. 5 - 6 p.m.

Feb. 3

FREE Pop & Palette for Kids at the Downtown Library (300 Park Ave). Local artist, Vanessa Larwig will lead children and families in designing a tie dye inspired heart. Preregister. Best suited for ages 12 & under and parents, too. 10 a.m. - noon.

Yukon Chocolate Festival at the Dale Robertson Center (1200 Lakeshore Dr, Yukon) features a selection of chocolate treats served up by local businesses and groups as well as a silent auction. Proceeds benefit Yukon Friends of the Park & the Ladies Library Club. $10 for eight tastes. 1 - 3 p.m.

Norman Daddy Daughter Dance at Embassy Suites (2501 Conference Dr, Norman) features a fun evening for little girls' and their fathers or father figures with dancing, music and refreshments. For girls ages 4-14. $15. 2 p.m.; 4:30 p.m. & 7 p.m.

Feb. 3 – 5

Victorian Tea at the Edmond Historical Society & Museum (28 E Main St, Edmond) features savories, scones, sweets and tea, as well as living history performers and favors. Victorian dress recommended. Best suited from ages 5 & up. $20. Saturday, 10 a.m. & 2 p.m.

Feb. 6 - 11

School of Rock at Civic Center Music Hall (201 N Walker Ave) features a musical based on the film that follows Dewey Finn, a wannabe rock star turned substitute teacher. Best suited for ages 8 & up. $43 & up. Tuesday - Thursday, 7:30 p.m.; Friday, 8 p.m.; Saturday, 2 & 8 p.m.; Sunday, 2 & 7 p.m.

Feb 8

FREE Valentine’s Dance Party at the Southwest Oklahoma City Library (2201 SW 134th St) features a fun dance party with snacks and more for kids in grades K-5th. 4:30 - 5:30 p.m.

Feb. 9

Valentine’s Social at the Pitts Recreation Center (1920 N Kate Ave) features socializing, dancing, a dance contest and karaoke. Refreshments provided. Preregister. For ages 13 - 17. $10. 6 – 8 p.m.

FREE Night to Shine Prom at Putnam City Baptist Church (11401 N Rockwell Ave) features an unforgettable prom night experience for people with special needs, ages 16 & older. Preregister, space is limited. 6 - 9 p.m.

Feb. 10

Heart-Y Succulent Wreath Workshop at Will Rogers Gardens (3400 NW 36th St). Create your own succulent wreath masterpiece to take home. Materials supplied. All ages welcome. Preregister. $35 per wreath. 10 a.m. – noon.

FREE Family Make + Take Art Project at Oklahoma Contemporary (3000 General Pershing Blvd) features an art-making project inspired by works of art on view at the museum. All ages welcome. All children must be accompanied by an adult. 1 – 4 p.m.

Norman Chocolate Festival at Norman North High School (1809 Stubbeman Ave, Norman) features samples of chocolate treats from local restuarants and businesses. Proceeds benefit Norman Public Schools. $30-$50. 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.

FREE Silver Strings Concert at the Bethany Library (3510 N Mueller Ave) features a special performance from the Silver Strings of Putnam City, a unique strolling orchestra with members from all three high schools of the Putnam City School District. 2 – 3 p.m.  

Hot Chocolate Valentine at Myriad Gardens (301 W Reno Ave). Learn about the fascinating process that turns chocolate fruit into the tasty wintertime cocoa drink. Best suited for ages 6 - 10. Preregister. Members, $12; nonmembers, $15. 2 - 3:30 p.m.

Hugs N’ Fishes Valentine’s Day Dinner at the Oklahoma Aquarium (300 Aquarium Dr, Jenks) features drinks, dinner behind-the-scenes tour and more. All attendees must be 18 years of age or older. $200 & up. 6:30 – 10 p.m.

FREE Valentine’s Day Crafts at the Norman West Library (300 Norman Center Ct, Norman) features some Valentine-themed craft fun for kids ages 3 – 5. All supplies provided. 2 – 3 p.m.

Daddy Daughter Dance at the The Gate Gym (7700 N Council Rd) features food, photos, crafts and plenty of dancing. Benefits The Beat Performing Arts. $20-$30. 5:30 - 7:30 p.m.

Edmond’s Daddy Daughter Dance at the MAC at Mitch Park (2733 Marilyn Williams Dr, Edmond) features a dance for daughters ages 3 - 12 and theirs dads with dancing, refreshments and a professional photographer. Belle and Gaston will be in attendance. $30; $10 each additional girls. 6 – 9 p.m.   

Midwest City’s Daddy Daughter Dance at the Reed Conference Center (5750 Will Rogers Rd, Midwest City) features dancing, music and light snacks. Dads & their little girls can also enjoy carriage rides and professional photographer packages for an additional cost. For ages 3 - 14. $12.  

Feb. 13

FREE Valentine Make & Take at the Midwest City Library (8143 E Reno Ave, Midwest City). Make a Valentine for your favorite person. All supplies included. Best suited for ages 5 & up. 4:30 - 5:30 p.m.

Feb. 15

FREE Anti-Valentine's Day Party at the Bethany Library (7941 NW 23rd St, Bethany) features games and an anti-valentine duct tape craft. Preregister. Best suited for ages 12 & up. 6 - 7 p.m.

FREE Chocolate! for Teens at the Warr Acres Library (5901 NW 63rd St, Warr Acres) features fondue and games. Preregister. For kids ages 12 & up. 6:30 - 8 p.m.

Feb. 16 - 18

OKC Ballet presents The Little Mermaid at Civic Center Music Hall (201 N Walker Ave) features a production about a a young mermaid who is willing to give up her identity and her life in the sea to gain a human soul. Friday & Saturday, 8 p.m. & Sunday, 2 p.m.

Feb. 17

Oklahoma City Daddy Daughter Dance at Civic Center Music Hall (201 N Walker Ave) features a Night on the Red Carpet themed dance in the beautiful Meinders Hall of Mirrors.$35 per couple; $10 for an additional child. 4:30 - 6 p.m. & 7 - 8:30 p.m.

Mother and Son Soiree at the Orr Family Farm (14400 S Western Ave) features an evening of dancing to music provided by a professional DJ, food, drinks, photo booth and more. For ages 4 – 14. Church appropriate attire recommended. $15. 6 - 7:30 p.m.

FREE Little Sweethearts Dance at Events at 10 West Main (10 W Main St, Yukon) features music, snacks, treats and a raffle. All children of any age accompanied by any parent(s) are welcome regardless of the situation. Preregister. 6:30 - 9:30 p.m.

Feb. 24

FREE Purcell Daddy Daughter Dance at the Purcell Public Administration Building (919 N 9th St, Purcell) features dancing, delicious food, door prizes and a fun photo booth. Space is limited; tickets required and are available at the Purcell Public Library. 3 - 5 p.m.

Feb. 25

Mustang Dad Daughter Dance at Mustang Town Center (1201 N Mustang Rd, Mustang) features a beautiful night in Paris themed dance with music and refreshments. Tickets must be purchased in advance. $8. 7 – 9 p.m.
