Spring Break Day-By-Day

Whether your kids are out for one week or two, you'll need plenty of ideas to keep them entertained this spring break. Oklahoma City is packed with family-friendly events and celebrations all month long. Our guide to spring break activities features more than 100 special events happening during the break, but we've hand-selected some of our favorites to give you this day-by-day guide to spring break fun. Enjoy!

Monday, March 12: Visit an OKC attraction you've never been to before! Our Family Fun guide lists dozens of area attractions in a variety of categories. From skating rinks and trampoline parks to outdoor play places and museums, you're sure to find the perfect destination.

Tuesday, March 13: Head on over to Harn Homestead for some fun that will take you back to Oklahoma’s early years. They’ll have hands-on programming in the historic buildings beginning at 10 a.m. and the farm will be open for free play until 4 p.m.

Wednesday, March 14: Celebrate National Learn About Butterflies Day with games, horticulture tours, special films and more at the Chickasaw Cultural Center. Guests can interact with butterflies in a pop-up tent and embark on a scavenger hunt to learn more about these beautiful flying insects.

Thursday, March 15: Challenge the family to some exciting competition at Celebration Station. Their All Day play passes are discounted during the break so kids of all ages can enjoy unlimited go-kart rides, bumper boat rides and Playland rides for the day at a great price. Friday, March 16: Take a family road trip! Our Exploring Oklahoma With Children page features trips throughout the state that are perfect for families.

Saturday, March 17: Celebrate the luck of the Irish at Myriad Gardens’ St. Patrick’s Day festivities. Enjoy live performances, food trucks, crafts and more. An Imagination Playground, sponsored by Express Employment Professionals, lets kids’ hunt for treasures in shamrock sensory bins on the Great Lawn.

Sunday, March 18: Plan a night of fun retro-style at Skate Galaxy. Sunday family night packages include a pizza dinner and skate rentals for up to 5 family members.

Monday, March 19: Boost your museum experience at Sam Noble Museum’s Spring Break Escape. A full day of fun is planned with crafts, auditorium shows, storytelling and scavenger hunts. 

Tuesday, March 20: Craft history at the Edmond Historical Society and Museum’s Making History event. Each day focuses a fun story time and craft activities on an Edmond park.

Wednesday, March 21: Hoop it up with the Rumble and the Rolling Thunder Book Bus at Oklahoma Hall of Fame’s Spring Thing! Enjoy a story time, movie, interactive craft and planting activity, too.

Thursday, March 22: Bring your museum inspiration to life with special Spring Break Drop-in Activities at the National Western Heritage & Cowboy Museum. Kids can come dressed up in their best cowboy and cowgirl apparel and show off their skills in a series of activities called the Cowboy Challenge.

Friday, March 23: Try out a new playground! We've rounded up a dozen great outdoor play places here.

Saturday, March 24: Travel back in time to the cattle drive era at the Oklahoma History Center’s Cowboy Round up. Enjoy hands-on activities, cowboy re-enactors and a chuck wagon camp. Attendees are encouraged to dress the part in boots, cowboy hats, and gingham dresses.

Sunday, March 25: Hop on over to New Covenant UMC’s Easter Carnival to enjoy an afternoon of fun games, food, bounce houses, a photo booth, train rides, a petting zoo and more.
