Oklahoma City New Year’s Eve Fun
There is never a shortage of fun in the Oklahoma City metro and special occasions like New Year’s Eve are no exception. Here is a list of fun events happening all across the metro to celebrate the last day of 2017.

Devon Ice Rink at Myriad Gardens (301 W Reno Ave). $13, $8 without skates; members, $7. Holiday hours: Saturday, Dec. 30, 11 a.m. - 11 p.m.; Sunday, Dec. 31, 11 a.m. - 11:45 p.m.
Edmond Outdoor Rink at Mitch Park (1501 W Covell Rd, Edmond). $12 with skate rental, $8 without, kids (under 5), $6; train rides, $3. Holiday hours: noon - 10 p.m.
LifeShare Winterfest at the Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark (2 S Mickey Mantle Dr) features two gigantic snow tubing slopes, one for thriller seekers and one for those wanting a moderate thrill, Santa’s workshop and sparkling holiday décor. Riders, $13; non-riders, $3. Tubing sessions are at noon, 2 p.m., 4 p.m.
FREE DIY New Year's Eve Crafts at the Norman West Library (300 Norman Center Ct, Norman) features a variety of festive projects including a countdown ball and noise makers. Preregister. 2 - 4 p.m.
FREE Countdown Clock Craft at the Norman Central Library (225 N Webster, Norman) features a come-and-go countdown clock craft. All ages welcome. All supplies provided. 2 - 4 p.m.
Through Dec. 31
FREE Admission for Kids at Oklahoma City Museum of Art (415 Couch Dr). Kids 17 & under can enjoy FREE admission to the Oklahoma City Museum of Art. The museum will be open special hours on New Year's.
Noon Year's Eve at the Oklahoma WONDERtorium (308 W Franklin Ln, Stillwater). Guests are encouraged to play in the museum and enjoy special activities like a count down to noon, complete with a ball drop and a special bubble stomp. Activities are free with admission. Over 12 mos, $7. 10 a.m. - 1 p.m.
FREE Rockin' Noon Year's Eve 2017 Party at the Moore Library (225 S Howard Ave, Moore) features games, crafts, music and fun as you rock the last noon of 2015. 11 a.m. – noon.
FREE Resolution Craft at Lakeshore Learning (6300 N May Ave). Kids ages 3 & over can enjoy a free craft time. No reservations necessary. 11 a..m. - 3 p.m.
Dec. 30 & 31
New Year's Eve Balloon Drop at Tot Town (841 SW 119th St) features a party hat craft, silly photo booth and a firework countdown with balloon drop. Preregister. $10 per child. Saturday, 4:30 - 6 p.m.; Sunday, 3 - 4:30 p.m.
Opening Night Finale 5K at Bicentennial Park (500 Couch Dr) features a 5k race that takes you through downtown Oklahoma City and across Skydance Bridge; beginning and ending at the Finale Site, just east of Bicentennial Park. Neon, glitter, capes and costumes are welcome as the most festively dressed wins an original piece of art. $30, includes Open Night wristband. 4 p.m.
Family-Friendly NYE Celebration at Dave & Buster's (5501 N May Ave) features food, fun, superheroes & princesses and a video ball drop. $29 - $37. 5-8 p.m.
New Year's Eve at Oklahoma City Museum of Art (415 Couch Dr). The galleries will stay open late and guests can enjoy dinner at the Museum Cafe and views of the downtown fireworks from the rooftop at midnight. Prices vary. 5 p.m. - midnight.
FREE Holiday Water Taxi Rides on the Bricktown Canal (California Ave) features a fun-filled float down the beautifully-adorned Bricktown canal. 6:30 – 9 p.m.
Opening Night 2017 at Bicentennial Park (500 Couch Dr) features evening of music, comedy, magic and fireworks at midnight to ring in the New Year. All ages are welcome. Children can create festive art projects in the Children’s Area located inside the Civic Center Hall of Mirrors. $8 in advance, $10 at the event, children under 5 are free. 7 p.m. – midnight.
New Year's Eve Bash at Skate Galaxy (5800 NW 36th St). Ring in the New Year at Skate Galaxy! All ages welcome. $15. 7 p.m. - 1 a.m.
