Describe the mission of your non-profit:

Through the power of Christ's love, to help the hurting person (called a neighbor) find healing through the support and love from people who will meet with them weekly or every two weeks.

How does it impact families and children, whether locally or elsewhere?

This ministry reaches out to the widows, the fatherless, the lonely, those transitioning out of prison and helps them in the healing and movement towards wholeness. As individuals become healthier and happier, it impacts those around them resulting in transformation for all. The Women in Transition program also has residences in Claremore,OK for mothers and children.

What drives you to make this non-profit a success?

As God loves us, so we share that love with others. Every person has a purpose and plan on their lives and deserves the opportunity to pursue their dream.

How can families and children help this non-profit?

First and foremost, pray. Pray for those individuals struggling with a life challenge, for the families that surround these individuals and for the staff and volunteers of Stand in the Gap.

Secondly, to assist Stand in the Gap in sharing their ministry at your local church in order to work with interested church members in becoming part of a Stand in the Gap team.

Thirdly. to provide financial support to this ministry, it is a 501 C and contributions are tax deductible.

What led you to work for this nonprofit?

The knowledge that it is doing God's work and it is Biblically based.Additionally, there are so many hurting people, in our neighborhood, churches and organizations. We can make a difference in their lives.

What was your best day so far?

Knowing that lives are being changed; people are being healed and God's love is being shown .
