07/14/11Back in My BodyWhat it comes down to is this: I am more than a number on my scale. Way more. I don’t know why it’s taken so long for me to figure that out. Posted at 01:45 AM | Permalink | Comments: 1 |

05/23/11Target: 155!How unfair is it that I’ve trained for and ran a half marathon, and only weigh two pounds less than I did the day I brought Lydia home from the hospital 10 months ago? Ridiculous! What I’ve started to do is a little bit controversial, but it’s worked for me in the past, and it seems as though it’s working again. |

05/04/11Half Marathon–In ReviewI did it! On Sunday, I ran my first half marathon since having baby Lydia in July! It was HARD!! Here’s my day, in review: |
04/19/11She Must Be Lyin’I mentioned that I’d lost five pounds a few weeks ago. Unfortunately, they found their way back. |

04/12/11ReconsiderationI hate to admit when I’m wrong about something. Who doesn’t? I really hate it, though, if I’ve made some grand gesture about my original idea in the first place. Like, say….writing a blog and declaring that I’m going to run a marathon this year and how great it’s gonna be and how, of course, I can do it. Yeah. Posted at 09:52 PM | Permalink |

04/10/11Attack of Mommy GuiltIf I average it out, I spend about eight or nine hours a week on my fitness. For some of this time, when I do my long runs on the weekends, the girls stay with Daddy. The other days of the week, they go to the Childwatch at the Earlywine Park YMCA. We know the ladies there and they know us. The girls love the ladies there and I have complete confidence in the care that they get there. So, why do I feel so guilty about leaving them? Posted at 01:30 AM | Permalink |

04/10/11Let the Counting Begin!I don’t know if it’s because I’m older, or if it’s that this is my second baby, but I am only three pounds lighter than I was on the day I came home from the hospital. No fair! Posted at 01:27 AM | Permalink |

04/10/11Back on TrackSo, I’ve worked out three days this week already and am planning to get on the treadmill at home today. I ran two days and did an upper body workout followed by a little cardio the other day. Not bad for a first week back at it. I just hope I can keep up this momentum. Posted at 01:24 AM | Permalink |

04/10/11If They Can Do It...In the past, when I’ve finished running any race, especially the half marathons that I’ve run, I’ve always said that I would never be interested in running the full thing. Once again, never say never. I was so inspired by these folks on The Biggest Loser. I thought to myself that these people, just four months before running this race, were morbidly obese and there they were – running 26.2 miles. How could I ever think that I couldn’t do the same thing? Posted at 01:22 AM | Permalink |

Kristina Pressley is a 37-year-old stay-at-home mom to daughters Brynn, 4 and Lydia, 4 months. Between her pregnancies, Kristina became an avid runner and YMCA regular, completing three half-marathons and numerous other races. Her interest in fitness started during her 12 years spent in the Air Force. Although, at that time, fitness was more of a "have to" than a "want to." At two months post-partum from her pregnancy with Lydia, Kristina started looking to get back into running shape. Follow her quest to become fit again after giving birth in July 2010. Kristina lives in Moore with her husband, Bryan, an Air Force Officer, and their two daughters.
