About This Blog

Courtenay Sobral has lived in Oklahoma City for the majority of her life. She and husband Alex have been together for 23 years (married for 12 and 1/2 years and counting) and have been best friends for even longer. They have five children: Jack (age 10), William (age 8), Nathan (age 6), Ford (age 5) and Lexi (age 2).

Courtenay is a former attorney turned stay-at-home mom, and an evolving deal shopper and household manager. In 2007, following the birth of her fourth son, Courtenay became very ill and bed-ridden for almost two years. She is doing much better now, but the financial and emotional impact was devastating to her family. As with so many of life's challenges, Courtenay says it has helped them to grow and learn so much!

Courtenay is now happily home educating all of her children, living in a smaller home than they ever imagined they could even fit into and is focusing on saving money where ever and whenever possible. She has very little extra time with 5 homeschooled children under the age of 10, so she does not consider herself a "couponing" mom. She is, however, constantly on the lookout for a great FREE (or almost free) deals, whether it is for groceries, diapers, clothes, travel, meals at restaurants, educational opportunities or family experiences. Courtenay searches for and share EASY, FREE (& almost free) resources for QUALITY family resources. She says she does not "run all over town to save pennies nor enter sweepstakes" as her time is limited and valuable—and she knows yours is too. She strives to only post the deals that are truly worth your valuable family time. She and her family currently live a very active and happy family life (on a shoestring budget!) and she hopes to help you do the same.
