These Little Wonders

Have you ever listened to the words of Rob Thomas’ song “Little Wonders”?

The song was played in the movie “Meet the Robinsons” and is a beautiful song that could serve as an anthem for parenting. I have considered printing the lyrics and putting them somewhere I can refer to them on a daily basis. The chorus is:

Our lives are made
In these small hours
These little wonders,
These twists & turns of fate
Time falls away,
But these small hours,
These small hours still remain.

When I look at my daughter and the truth sets in that she is growing up way too fast for my liking, I try to remember that it is all about the small hours and to enjoy every minute of parenting that I can. Of course that is much easier said than done, among so many of life’s constant interruptions, but trying to enjoy the small things in life makes me a happier mother, and person.

What do you do to enjoy these small wonders?
