Training has officially started for our Strong Together Spring 2015 session. We can't wait to see what you ladies do over the next eight weeks. Our first group run is at 7 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 21 at Stars and Stripes Park (3701 S. Lake Hefner Dr.). The runners will meet at the south end by the ball fields.
Our Strong Together Fall 2014 team has completed eight weeks of fellowship and training! We are thrilled with how far everyone has come. If our bloggers are any indication of the group as a whole, we can see that the Strong Together experience will go on long after the Susan G. Komen Oklahoma Race for the Cure this weekend.
October brings a pop of color, and we’re not talking about the brilliant reds and oranges of autumn leaves. Breast Cancer Awareness Month puts pink on display on store shelves, sports fields, skyscrapers and everything in between.
This fall, MetroFamily Magazine is once again encouraging metro area women to make health a priority through Strong Together. Earlier this year, we started this fitness initiative with runhers and Red Coyote as a way to form a wellness support group for area moms.
It's time to set some goals for the coming year. If you've landed on this page, it's probably because one of your goals for 2015 is to get fit. We are preparing to launch Strong Together Spring 2015, a seasonal initiative that encourages Oklahoma City women to get fit together. We're currently looking for women who want to participate in Strong Together and blog through the process.
Happy fall! You have made it through some hot summer days so congratulate yourself for getting through to cooler weather. Hopefully, you've now been able to take advantage of the crisp mornings and pleasant evenings we've had recently as part of your training.
You have conquered five weeks of training! Give yourself a firm pat on the back as you push forward into October and prepare for Strong Together to come to a close in just two short weeks.
