Skills for Living is a multi-disciplinary clinic. We offer occupational therapy and psychological services as well as our newest endeavor life/relationship coaching.

It is our mission to empower and guide each individual to fulfill their unique potential and create their "best life."

The Skills for Living occupational therapy team consists of two licensed occupational therapists and two licensed occupational therapy assistants. We are dedicated to using individualized, holistic, creative and best practice treatment methods to help each client achieve his or her full life potential. We are proud of our large and specialized OT clinic [soon to be two] that is equipped with numerous fine and gross motor equipment and therapeutic activities. Children love coming into this colorful and inviting space. There are ramps, scooter boards, a variety of swings, trapeze, a soft ball bath with an air filled floor, trampoline with soft sides all around, sand box, puzzles, construction materials, clay, art and much more! The treatment regimen is based on a professional assessment and clinical observations from experienced and trained therapists. What we find in therapy is that many times sensory issues (such as limited tolerance of noise, touch, changes in routine, bright lights, irritable clothing, grooming routines and avoidance of/or seeking movement) interfere with the child’s development to the point that many functional aspects of the child’s life are affected. This can include one or more of the following: poor handwriting; limited ability or desire to draw or color; fear or avoidance of playground equipment; constant motion or activity; poor social skills; avoidance of grooming routines [hair cut, shampoo, bathing, nail care]; poor attention span; clumsy movement; easily fatigued.
We would be honored to accompany you on your journey to wholeness, health and well-being!
