Once we decided that we were going to homeschool, we had to decide how we wanted to accomplish this goal. I am not new to the idea of homeschooling. I have a lot of family members that have chosen to homeschool. Their children are all shining examples of why homeschooling can be just as good —and in some cases better—than a public or private school education!

We’re homeschoolers. There. I said it. The child of a public school teacher, 13 years as a student in public education (plus another 5 if you want to count college and grad school), and another 6 years as a public school teacher myself, and I ended up keeping my kids home.

Our Decision to Homeschool, by Kami

The decision to homeschool is a very personal one. No one can tell you if it is the right choice for your family or not. As a parent you have to look at all your reasons for considering this avenue and weigh all the pros and cons. For our family the idea to try homeschooling actually came from our son.
